Always check the specifications and requirements for the job
Before you apply and submit your credentials, do check the job description first. Determine the job qualifications - from the skills and educational attainment that you're supposed to have to the software applications that you will need. Know how you will get paid, how much, and how often.
Never pay
Be wary of job listings that will ask you to pay for sign-up fees, seminars, start up kits, or payments for supposedly work-related tools like e-books, online courses, or software applications. Never send your money. Keep in mind that rarely do real and legitimate employers collect fees from people they are recruiting.
Do not fall for tempting job descriptions
Scam freelance jobs and home based work opportunities will often entice you with a false premise of extreme wealth. They will tell you that they can help you get rich in just a short period of time, even if you only work part time. If the offers sound unreal, they really are.
Do your research
If you think that you're dealing with a scammer, check their references. Use search engines to determine their legitimacy. Check what kind of company they are and what kind of services do they provide. Do not forget to check their website and browse for information about their partners, contractors and employees.
